blogging part III

Apparently my Bleezer app broke down. An 500 server error from the blogger server. So I guess that is the end of it. Back to the blogger-edit page ? No wait, something else popped into my view.

Performancing
Helping Bloggers succeed

Forgive me for not being totaly convinced right away, but there I found yet another blogging tool, that might be able to let me forget the past "brilliant" tools.

I give you :Performancing for Firefox 1.1

An extention, that gives you an blog-tool right from within the browser. I'll give it (yet another) go for a few day's

Blog tools

On the quest of trying to get the blogging just about right, I've come across yet another tool. My MarsEdit eval was expired, and I didn't use it _that_ often I had to buy it.

The Widget I mentioned earlier didn't cut it either. So the quest went on, to finally stumble upon: Bleezer.

Crossplatform, Java-application. Which unfortunately suffers from the java-sluggishness. I'll give it a go.

You can download the bleezer software from here.

Blogging with an Widget

A worthy application for my dashboard ? Time will tell. First impressions are that it lacks the ability to add an hyperlink, or images. I'll guess is super for "hit-and-run" blogging, when you want to blog "NOW", and leave it at that... More to follow

DashBlog
Web Publishing Made Quick and Simple

Altough I am quite pleased with the webbased blogger blogentry page. I have to agree that it is a bite lame that the safari browser (although it passes the ACID2 test) lacks functionality of the Firefox browser. Which is still my browser to use despite stiff competition...

Startup key combinations for Intel-based Macs

Iconic mosaic - literally - of Steve Jobs

Waar je zin (en tijd) voor hebt.

Iconic mosaic - literally - of Steve Jobs: "Filed under: Odds and ends, Internet, Steve Jobs

Rising up the ranks of my 'those with too much time' list, a creative Flickr user by the name of 'tsevis' has created an iconic mosaic of Steve Jobs using all sorts of different icons, ranging from product boxes to your favorite pics from the IconFactory. He does a pretty good job of capturing his Steveness in my opinion, and the rest of his Flickr set is equally creative.

Kudos, tsevis. Now where's some mosaic love for Ive?

Apple's Hidden Message to Hackers: "Dont Steal Mac OS X"

Echt ?

Volgens het site OSx86 is er een speciale .kext (Kernel Extention) file in de OSX implementatie op de Intel DualCore gebaseerde nieuwe iMac/MacBookPro computers gezet, om hackers af te schrikken :-/

Quote:
We’ve received some information regarding Apple's newest portable, the MacBook Pro, and with it a hidden message for would-be hackers. We were made privy to a text dump from the System Profiler of one of the new MacBooks and, naturally, couldn’t wait to sort through its contents. What we didn’t expect to see was a warning from Apple to those that would hack OS X, presumably to those wanting it to run on beige-box PCs:

Apple Remote Radio

Apple Remote Radio: "Philippe ordered his iPod Remote Radio the same day it was announced and he received it this morning. Here is his short review.

Like always, nice packaging. Pluging the remote adds a Radio line on the iPod menu (5G and nano). Frequency selection is done using the wheel (great precision) or using the left/right arrows (on the iPod and on the remote) for station hopping. The display uses RDS (where available).
In the iPod Settings menu, there is a new line to select your region (USA, Japan or Europe), relating to different FM bands.
The back of the Remote is made of great looking brushed aluminum and sports a clip.
The remote plugs in the iPod dock connector which means you can use the standard audio connector to plug a second pair of headphones.
The test was done on a 5G iPod and, yes, using your GSM close to the remote tends to mess things up and randomly change station or volume (!)
It is possible to store a station by clicking on the centre button (same way to remove it). You can then jump between stored stations using the RW/FF buttons.[translation by moose]
